Gregoire-Besson Undervine Disc Cultivator

Gregoire-Besson - Soil-Irrigation

Overview

Gregoire-Besson undervine disc cultivators are used for mechanical weed control and soil management in the undervine zone without herbicides. The feeler-arm mechanism detects vine stakes or trunks and automatically swings the disc clear before returning to the working position. This automation makes mechanical undervine cultivation practical at normal tractor speeds. The tool is widely used in organic and sustainable viticulture programs in California, Oregon, and Europe where herbicide reduction or elimination is a certification requirement or management goal.
