Disease Risk Assessment Guide

The Disease Risk Assessment Tool evaluates risk levels for powdery mildew, downy mildew, and botrytis based on environmental conditions.

How to use it:

  • Enter current or forecasted temperature
  • Enter humidity percentage
  • Enter recent rainfall amount
  • Enter leaf wetness duration (hours)
  • Select canopy density

  • Interpreting risk levels:

  • Low: Standard spray intervals are sufficient
  • Moderate: Consider shortening spray intervals
  • High: Apply fungicide as soon as possible; shorten intervals to 7 days
  • Critical: Immediate action required; use systemic products

  • Note: This tool assesses environmental risk only. Actual disease pressure also depends on inoculum present in your vineyard.
